ABOUT THE CLIENT
Vanessa knew that her current brand and Squarespace website was not where she wanted it to be. It was okay, but lacked the amount of personality punch she wanted it to have. We started off with an hour long call to really get an idea of what she wanted her brand to look and feel like. Vanessa gave us some brand adjective words and some inspiration brands that she really loved the vibe of. We collaborated on a Pinterest board and gave her some mood board options to pick from.
Vanessa wanted her brand and website to feel bold, edgy and punk rock. This project was so fun for me. I found myself breaking out my favorite punk rock bands from middle school to listen to as I designed.
Once we landed on her mood board and colors, we moved onto the logo wordmark design.
THE WEBSITE PROCESS
With Vanessa being the amazing copywriter that she is, she wanted to do all her copy for her website. Once she sent that over, I got started designing her homepage for her website.
Vanessa loved her homepage mockup and approved it without any design revisions so we went ahead and started building and designing all her web pages right within Squarespace.
Once we handed over the rough draft of her bold and edgy website, she gave us a few revisions she wanted to see and within just a few more hours, her site was ready to be launched.
We were able to upgrade her existing Squarespace 7.0 site to Fluid Engine, 7.1 version of Squarespace so that we did not have to transfer over her domain or anything.
THE RESULT
The project turned out great! Vanessa was thrilled with her new Squarespace website and brand.
